“It’s The Thought That Counts”

!

True thoughtful gifts never have the phrase “it’s the thought that counts” attached to it in any way.

The phrase “it’s the thought that counts” gets used a lot but unfortunately for the wrong reason. It’s usually used after someone has picked out expired chocolates from the reduced bin to hide their embarrassment when they get to the counter. The only thought there is about the money saved!

This arrangement is the true meaning of the phrase. It was ordered for a birthday present as he knew his girlfriend loved sunflowers. He stuck to what he knew, thought about what the recipient would like and ended up with a thoughtful gift!

Next time you hear those words come out your mouth step away from the reduced bin and take five minutes to think about the person receiving the gift and prepare for your presents and relationships  to improve.
