some other updates to the site
- inititated key plugins like stats (google and WP), featurific, and site map generator
- signed up for google webmaster tools (still figuring out where to put the html verfication page)
(update: turns out the easiest thing to do on wordpress.org sites is not to upload an html page for google webmaster tools, but its just to add the meta tag to the header.php file - just after the other <meta> tags and before the <title> tag - the only issue with this I think is that if you change theme you have to remember to do it again)
